SEATTLE -- Tack on another touchdown to Will Dissly's career statistics.

Dissly, the former Bozeman High standout, hauled in a 10-yard, third-quarter touchdown reception in the Seattle Seahawks' 40-3 rout of the New York Jets on Sunday. It was his second touchdown reception of the 2020 season.

With his Seahawks leading 23-3 midway through the third quarter Sunday, Dissly snuck down the line of scrimmage and caught a pass from quarterback Russell Wilson, then dove across the goal line while making contact with a Jets player. It was the second catch of the game for the former University of Washington Husky, who had a 13-yard reception on Seattle's second drive of the game.

Sunday's score was the eighth career receiving touchdown for Dissly, the third-year pro who won Montana's Gatorade football player of the year honor in 2013. Earlier this season, he scored on a 19-yard reception against the Minnesota Vikings on Sunday Night Football.

This season, Dissly has 20 receptions for 214 yards, an average of 10.7 yards per catch, with a long of 28 yards. Eleven of the receptions have gone for Seattle first downs. The Seahawks (9-4) play at the Washington Football Team on Sunday, Dec. 20, before finishing the regular season at home against the Los Angeles Rams and on the road at the San Francisco 49ers.

Dissly was limited to only 10 games in the first two seasons of his pro career, with injuries ending each of those campaigns. Dissly tore his patellar tendon as a rookie, then tore his Achilles last fall.

He returned to action for the first time in August, relating that practice to the feeling on "Christmas morning."
