Kalispell Glacier finishes season sweep of rival Flathead

KALISPELL -- The Kalispell Glacier boys and girls basketball teams completed the season sweeps of crosstown rival Flathead on Friday evening. The Wolfpack girls won 59-39 before the boys took the 70-64 victory at Glacier High.

Aubrie Rademacher led Glacier with 16 points and Kenzie Williams chipped in 11 for the Wolfpack. After leading just 8-6 at the end of the first quarter, Glacier's offense came to life in the second where it outscored Flathead 22-10 to take a 30-16 advantage into halftime.

Jenna Johnson had 13 points to lead Flathead.

In the boys game Glacier jumped out rapidly with a 25-7 lead after the opening quarter. Despite trailing 36-18 at half, Flathead rallied and made it a game thanks to a 20-12 advantage in the third period.

Flathead outscored Glacier in the fourth quarter, as well. However, Glacier's lead was too much to overcome as the Wolfpack took the win and season sweep.

Drew Engellant led Glacier with 21 points and Weston Price chipped in 17 while Anthony Heath tallied 13. Gabe Adams led Flathead with 17 while Hunter Hickey added 14.
