GREAT FALLS – Members of the Dusty Gliko Bull Riding Challenge committee presented representatives from Make-A-Wish Montana with a check for $5,000 Thursday at the Sidetrack lounge.

The money was raised at the 12th Annual Dusty Gliko Bull Riding Challenge held June 3 at the Four Seasons Arena in Great Falls.

This is the second year that the Dusty Gliko Challenge teamed up with MAWMT, and every dollar raised helps. There are currently four kids waiting for their wish in Cascade County, and 56 wish kids waiting for their wish statewide.

Make-A-Wish Montana granted more than 40 wishes to children with critical illnesses in 2018. The average cash cost of a wish is $7,500. Each wish also receives around $5,000 in in-kind donations.

The Dusty Gliko PBR Bull Riding Challenge is held in honor of Belt native, rough stock rider Dusty Gliko. Gliko was a friend to all on the rodeo trail and in all walks of life. Proceeds from the event go to families, individuals and non-profit organizations in the community.
