But how did he get there? MTN Sports sat down with the Patten family to discuss raising a child with Down syndrome in small-town Montana, Carson’s ability to overcome obstacles, his ability to connect with others and what the future has in store for the determined cowboy.
Before he learned to rope and ride, he had to learn to walk and talk. And his incredible support system has been there with him every step of the way, and continues to encourage him as he becomes more independent.
