Two weeks ago we took a look at Blue Mountain to explore its convenient and vast trails just outside of Missoula.
Next, we look at the opposite side of town and the Rattlesnake Wilderness. With the weather feeling like spring late in the week, MTN Sports explored a few trails around the Rattlesnake as well as Sawmill Gulch, one of the more popular hikes in the area.
Similar to Blue Mountain, the Rattlesnake offers an easy way for people in and around Missoula to get out into the trees whether they are hiking, running or mountain biking. Some of the trails still hold plenty of snow at this time of the year, but the Rattlesnake offers trails both short and long for any who are looking for get outside.
Check out the video above to see more from the Rattlesnake.
Reminder: When hiking during these current times, please abide by safe social distancing measures to keep yourself and others out of harm's way by keeping a six-foot distance from those who also use the trails. Stay safe, stay home if you're sick and don't put yourself in situations that cause a higher possibility of injury or that would stress the ability of first responders to aid or from addressing the COVID-19 emergency.
