GREAT FALLS — With both teams needing sweeps in order to keep their fading playoff hopes alive, the Great Falls Chargers and Butte Miners split a Tuesday doubleheader.
The Chargers took Game 1, 10-0, in five innings, before the Miners responded with a 13-1 win in Game 2.
Great Falls (6-13) and Butte (3-16) are ninth and tenth in the Montana-Alberta Legion AA standings, respectively, and are likely out of the running for the state tournament beginning July 28 in Kalispell.
