GREAT FALLS, Montana – The Billings Mustangs (2-3) snapped their three-game losing streak on Thursday with a convincing 11-4 win over the Great Falls Voyagers (3-3) in front of 2,759 at Centene Stadium.

Ricky Salinas would make his professional debut in the start for Billings, tossing two shutout innings while not allowing a hit. He did not receive a decision. Justin McGregor (1-0) and Jake Wyrick also made their pro debuts on the mound as a part of a 6 pitcher evening, the most used this season by the Mustangs.

The Voyagers opened the scoring in the third with a Lenyn Sosa sacrifice to left that would score Jimmy Galusky. That would be the first and final time the Voyagers led in the game.

Billings took their first lead in the fourth off RBI singles from Jay Schuyler and Carlos Rivero. Schuyler would reach base in each of his final four plate appearances which included three consecutive walks.

That lead would be extended in the fifth when Drew Mount hit his first homerun of the season, a three-run liner to right. Mount went 3-for-5 with four RBI to lift his average to .364 on the year.

The Mustangs solidified the win with four runs in the seventh and another pair in the eighth. Mariel Bautista added in a single, double and two runs over those two innings while Pabel Manzanero hit his second homerun of the year in the eighth.

Connor Ryan finished off the game by striking out three in his five outs of play.

The Mustangs now head to Helena for a three-game series with the Brewers. First pitch on Friday at Kindrick Legion Field is set for 7:05 p.m.
