BILLINGS – Announcing a coaching change on Monday, the Montana State University Billings department of athletics will pursue new leadership for its softball program.

“We would like to thank head coach Jessica Rayman for her time in charge of our softball program over the past three seasons,” commented Yellowjacket athletic director Krista Montague. “We appreciate her service to our university and wish her nothing but the best in the future.”

The Yellowjackets completed their 2019 season on Saturday at Avitus Group Stadium, finishing the year with an overall record of 15-31 (.326), and a Great Northwest Athletic Conference record of 8-20 (.286). MSUB finished the season in seventh place among the eight-team conference.

In Rayman’s three seasons, MSUB posted a cumulative record of 54-88 (.380), and went 31-51 (.378) in conference play.

A national search for the next head coach of the Yellowjacket softball team will begin immediately.
