LARAMIE, Wyo. – University of Wyoming Football has officially added a talented quarterback from the state of Texas to its 2019 recruiting class, with the addition of Levi Williams from Smithson Valley High School in Canyon Lake, Texas. Williams signed a scholarship offer with the Cowboys and began classes at the University of Wyoming for the 2019 spring semester, which began on Monday.
“We are excited that Levi (Williams) is on our campus starting this semester,” said Bohl. “He was part of an excellent high school program, and I’ve known his high school coach for many years. He played in a very competitive league. Levi has a strong arm and good athleticism. I think he has an excellent value system to be able to come in and be the type of quarterback we are looking for here at Wyoming.”

He was coached at Smithson Valley High School by Larry Hill. Williams was also recruited by Houston, Baylor, Oklahoma State and TCU.
Joining Williams as an early enrollee at Wyoming for the 2019 spring semester is another signee from the state of Texas, Devin Jennings. Jennings, who signed with the Cowboys during the early signing period in December 2018, is a wide receiver from Channelview High School in Houston, Texas.
“Devin Jennings came out of Channelview High School in Houston. That is a program that our staff is very familiar with,” said Bohl. “Devin has the attributes you are looking for in a wide receiver. He has excellent hands, he can stretch the field and he has excellent catching ability. ”
Jennings was a First Team All-District 21-6A selection as a wide receiver his senior season, and also earned Academic All-District honors. He played for head football coach Averion Hurts, who is the father of University of Oklahoma quarterback Jalen Hurts.
