GLENDIVE – Former Dawson Community College standout Brent Finn, now at Texas A&M International University, was selected as the Heartland Conference’s Player of the Week.

The Big Timber native led the Dustdevils to their fourth straight victory with a home win over Lubbock Christian University. Finn shot 9-16 from the field, 5-11 from the 3-point line and 11-15 from the free throw line. He finished with a career high 34 points, also a season high for any member of the team.

Finn is the Dustdevils’ second-leading scorer this season averaging over 13 points per game and shooting over 41 percent from the 3-point line.

This is Finn’s first Heartland Player of the Week award. The Heartland is an NCAA Division II league which used to include MSU-Billings.

He graduated from Sweet Grass County High School in 2016 and spent the next two years at Dawson Community College. He led the Bucs to a 24-8 record as a sophomore while earning First Team All-Conference and All-Region honors.
