Billings Senior dominates city cross country meet

BILLINGS – The Billings Senior boys and girls cross country teams ran past the competition at the Billings City Meet on Thursday afternoon at Riverfront Park.

The Lady Broncs were led by reigning state champion Tiahna Vladic. Vladic cruised past the field with a time of 17 minutes, 7.11 seconds. Vladic led at the halfway point by more than 45 seconds and eventually won by 1:17.

Vladic was not the only Lady Bronc to make noise on Thursday. In total, four Senior stars finished in the top five and five Broncs finished in the top 10.

Elena Vandersloot of Senior finished second, while teammate Jaylyn Hallgrimson took home third place. With seven girls in the top 18, Senior rolled to the team title. Billings West finished second and Billings Skyview came in third.

It was a similar story on the boys side with four Broncs finishing in the top six. It was Senior’s Jesse Dimich-Louvet besting teammates Ethan Wilson and Owen Smith at the finish with a time of 15:50.71.

Wilson pulled in less than a second behind Dimich-Louvet, while Smith finished third with a time of 15:52.34.

Senior won the team title, while Billings West took second and Billings Skyview grabbed third.
