Helena Capital girls vie for top spot in Western AA with win over Missoula Hellgate

HELENA– The Helena Capital Bruins kept their undefeated season intact Thursday, beating the Missoula Hellgate Knights, 54-44 on the Western AA girls basketball courts.

Helena Capital’s Sydney Sheridan led the Bruins with 13 points. Paige Bartsch finished with 12 points, and Megan Lindbo had 10.

Hellgate’s Emma Blakely finished with a game-high 19 points, but was the only Knight to find double-digits in the contest.

Missoula Hellgate will take on the Helena High Bengals on Saturday. The Bruins will have more than a week off before they face crosstown rival Helena High on Friday, Jan. 18.
