GREAT FALLS — Grant Brumwell is the 10-year-old patient ambassador for the 72nd Annual Montana East-West Shrine Game. Grant was born with bilateral clubbed feet and, thanks to the efforts of the medical staff at the Shriner’s Hospital in Spokane, he’s able to walk normally and enjoy a healthy, normal, energetic quality of life in Great Falls.
This week while visiting with the East team, he’s become somewhat of a celebrity to the players. They invited him to participate in practice Tuesday night where he shook hands with players, talked with them about football and engaged in some catch on the sideline.
It’s just one stop in a busy week for Brumwell who has joined the team at most functions and even threw out the first pitch Monday at a Great Falls Voyagers game. Click the video to find out why Grant says he’s having the “best week ever.”
