Northern C boys: Chinook, Hays-Lodgepole to play for divisional title

GREAT FALLS – The Chinook boys advanced easily to the Northern C championship with a 60-22 semifinal win over Belt. The Sugarbeeters will play Hays-Lodgepole in Saturday night’s divisional title game at 8:30 p.m., after the Thunderbirds dispatched Roy-Winifred 54-45.

CHINOOK 60, BELT 22

Chinook held Belt to just six first-half points in a dominant defensive performance in a 60-22 win to advance to the Northern C final.

Isaac Bell and Brendan Edwards led the Sugarbeeters with 14 points apiece. Reese Elliot added 11 points.

Brendan Wing led Belt with seven points, but the Huskies managed just 11 field goals all game.

HAYS-LODGEPOLE 54, ROY-WINIFRED 45

Four Thunderbird players scored in double figures to lead Hays-Lodgepole to a 54-45 win over Roy-Winifred to advance to the Northern C final.

Kyle Young scored 13 points, Kenneth BlackCrow scored 12, Gilbert Snow added 11 and Jeremy Pretty Paint pitched in with 10 points.

Tyler Fordyce led all scorers with 24 points in defeat for Roy-Winifred.
