BILLINGS – Billings Skyview’s boys survived a furious second half rally by the Butte Bulldogs and held on for the thrilling 47-46 victory on Friday night.
Skyview jumped out to a quick 20-10 lead and looked like it would roll to its sixth win of season. However, Butte methodically chipped away from there.
The Bulldogs finished the half on an 11-4 run and only trailed by three heading into the break.
The two teams played even in the third, as the Falcons took a 34-31 lead into the final quarter.
Butte rallied to close within one at 47-46 late in the fourth quarter and had a chance for a game-winning shot, but big man Zach Schacht came up with the last-second steal to seal the deal for Skyview.
The Falcons now sit at 6-3 on the season.
