GREAT FALLS — The Great Falls High boys basketball team improved to 3-0 with a 64-59 win over Missoula Sentinel (3-2).
Blake Thelen led all scorers with 24 points, Kyle Torgerson added 14 and Keegan Bistodeau pitched in with 12. Alex Germer led the Spartans with 21 points and was joined in double figures by Hayden Kolb with 15 and Tony Frohlich-Fair with 10.
Sentinel led 15-13 after the first quarter, before Great Falls High exploded for 22 in the second for a 35-22 lead at halftime. Sentinel clawed back in the second half, pulling to within one point before clutch shots from Thelen and Torgerson extended the Bison lead.
