HELENA -- Just a week removed from their last home dual, the Helena High Bengals welcomed their crosstown rival Helena Capital Bruins to the mats and fell by a final score of 52-24 on Tuesday.
The Bruins came into the dual firing on all cylinders, scoring all 52 of their points inside the first 10 matches, with pins by Carson DesRosier (132 pounds), Ian Isaacson (160) and Connor Kovick (138).
Though the lead was insurmountable headed into the final three matches of the night, the Bengals showed little intent to give up. Helena rattled off three straight match wins, highlighted by a 13-second pin of Auden Smelko by Nathan Elmose (120).
Both Helena High and Helena Capital will head north to Great Falls to compete in the CMR Holiday Classic on Dec. 20-21.
