GREAT FALLS — Billings Senior swept Great Falls High and Great Falls CMR in the first duals of the season on Friday, while Belgrade fell to both Great Falls schools.

The first duals of the day pitted Great Falls High against Senior and CMR against Belgrade. Both went down to the wire.

At Great Falls High, the defending champion Bison fell behind 28-6 before making a comeback in the heavier weights to tie the score at 32-32. However, Billings Senior won seven matches to six so the Broncs were winners on criteria, 33-32.

CMR and Belgrade battled back and forth, trading the dual lead for much of contest. Entering the final match at heavyweight, CMR trailed 36-31 needing a pin to win, and Idellio Michelotti delivered, drawing cheers from his bench and the limited fans in attendance.

In the second dual matches of the day, Billings Senior topped Great Falls CMR 50-15 and Great Falls High beat Belgrade 50-24.

Great Falls High and CMR will travel to Bozeman next weekend for a set of duals with Bozeman High and Gallatin High.
