HELENA -- Helena Public Schools activities director Tim McMahon said Wednesday in a media release that the volleyball matches scheduled for Saturday pitting Helena High and Helena Capital against Kalispell Flathead have been canceled.
MTN Sports reached out to Kalispell Flathead activities director Bryce Wilson, who said the school would not be commenting at this time other than to say the schools plan on rescheduling the games.
Per the release from Helena Public Schools, a date has not been set to reschedule the games, but "attempts will be made to secure a common date between the impacted schools to schedule a date."
Though the volleyball matches where Kalispell Flathead would take the floor are canceled, matches between Kalispell Glacier and the two Helena teams are still scheduled to be played on Saturday.
The Helena Capital football team is scheduled to host Kalispell Flathead on Friday. Per Capital head football coach Kyle Mihelish, that game has not been canceled.
This is a developing story. Updates will be provided as more information becomes available.
