BUTTE -- With the added excitement of Senior Day, the Butte Bulldogs showed up, and showed out, against the Kalispell Glacier Wolfpack, beating them by a score of 56-34 in Western AA boys basketball action.

The Bulldogs and Wolfpack stayed relatively tight through the first half of the game with the Bulldogs holding just a three-point lead through the first two quarters.

However, this was a tale of two halves. From the opening inbound of the second half, the Bulldogs were fired up and looking to climb the Western AA standings with time still left in the regular season. Seven bulldogs combined for 21 points in the third quarter. Cael Stenson was the main contributor in the effort with five points.

For the game, Tommy Mellott led the Bulldogs with 11 points, and Stenson and Blake Drakos each had nine points to cap off Senior Day.

The Wolfpack did what they could to limit the damage on defense, but could not reciprocate that effort on offense with a 12 total points in the second half, ultimately leading to the loss. Weston Price led the Wolfpack with 10 points on the afternoon.

The win moves Butte to 4-7 in conference play, while the loss drops Glacier to 4-6.
