State C boys: Manhattan Christian cruises past Fort Benton, clinches 3rd place

BILLINGS — Manhattan Christian and Fort Benton faced off early Saturday afternoon for a chance at the State C boys basketball consolation trophy.

The Eagles took control of the game early, jumping out to a 14-2 lead in the first quarter. Fort Benton wasn't able to make up the groundwork to bring the game within reach, falling to the Eagles 56-40.

Manhattan Christian finished Saturday's game shooting 45% from the field, headlined by Willem Kimm's 15 points and 12 rebounds. Seth Amunrud followed with 13 points.

Hayden Diekhans was Fort Benton's lone player to score in double digits, finishing with 13 points.
