ENNIS — Ennis basketball hosted a doubleheader against Sheridan to tip-off their home opener, with both Mustang programs sweeping the Panthers.

The Lady Mustangs took the court first Saturday afternoon.

It was a close first quarter with Ennis only up by four, 9-5, but a dominant second quarter put the Mustangs up comfortable at the half, 18-9.

Ennis outscored Sherdian 16-5 in the second half to win by 20, 34-14.

Tanner Inman led the Lady Panthers with 11 points.

The boy's game tipped off directly after, and Ennis took control from the jump.

Two back-to-back 3-pointers from Ennis' Brand Ostler gave the Panthers a 14-6 lead after one quarter of play.

But it was Ennis' Ian Swanson who was the start of the show Saturday night. Swanson finished with a team-high 24 points to help lead the Panthers to a 64-42 victory.
