GREAT FALLS – Argo track and field signed Kylee Gilcher to their 2019-20 roster, head coach Bill Brist announced on Thursday.

Gilcher, a native of Great Falls, Montana, was a four-year letterwinner at C. M. Russell High School. She will look to compete with the Argos in the javelin throw where she is a four-time state qualifier as a Rustler, in addition to being named a three-time All-Conference selection. Gilcher holds a personal record of 127 feet, 8 inches (38.91m) in the javelin.

“With a personal record only one foot off the current NAIA National Qualifying Standard in the javelin throw, Kylee will have an immediate impact on our throws program’s ability to maintain a high level of competition in the javelin,” said assistant coach Alan Cress.

Gilcher will pursue the pre-med track at the University of Providence. She was a national participant in HOSA – Future Health Professionals and DECA. In the classroom, Gilcher was named to the honor roll all four years as a Rustler. She also held membership in CMR’s student government association and with the National Honor Society.

“Her involvement in academic leadership programs and four years of honor roll status in high school shows me that she will be a great fit for the University of Providence and will no doubt be a leader in our student community,” expressed coach Cress.
