GREAT FALLS – Providence (13-4, 2-3) trailed 46-42 with 2:47 remaining in the game, before closing on a 14-4 run to escape with a 56-50 Frontier Conference women’s basketball win over MSU-Northern on Tuesday.
With her team down 50-46 with 1:30 left, Emilee Maldonado scored eight straight points to ice the game. Maldonado finished with 14 points, while Kerstyn Pimperton led all scorers with 15 points on 5-of-7 from beyond the arc.
Sydney Hovde led the Skylights (8-9, 0-5) with 13 points, while Montana transfer Hailey Nicholson added 12.
