SIOUX CITY, Iowa — The Rocky Mountain College Battlin’ Bears are moving on to the Round of 16 at the NAIA Volleyball National Championships.
It wasn’t exactly how they imagined getting it done, as they were swept by Northwestern College on Thursday night.
However, based on earlier results, that outcome did not matter, as the Battlin’ Bears had already punched their ticket to bracket play.
Rocky had beaten the Red Raiders earlier this season, but Northwestern College exacted swift revenge.
The Red Raiders won the first set 25-18 and it never got any better. Northwestern College dominated the second 25-14 and ended the match with a 25-17 win in Game 3.
Rocky plays Southern Oregon in the Round of 16 at 1:30 p.m. on Friday afternoon.
