Three Carroll College Fighting Saints nab Frontier weekly honors

WHITEFISH – Brooke Endy and Mika Robinson of Carroll College were named the Frontier Conference Women’s Indoor Track and Field Athletes of the Week.

Endy, a junior from Billings, Mont., is the women’s indoor track athlete of the week. At the MSU Open at Bozeman, Mont., she took first in the 60-meter in a
field of 14 that included NAIA, NCAA DI and DII student-athletes. Her winning time was 7.93. Also nominated and listed in alphabetical order; Brooke
McClurkin of Lewis-Clark State, Courtney Hallock of Rocky Mountain College and Eireann O’Connor of Montana Western.

Robinson, a senior from Billings, Mont., is the women’s indoor track athlete of the week. At the MSU Open in Bozeman, Mont., she finished second in the pole vault with a vault of 3.40 meters in a field of nine that included NAIA, NCAA DI and DII student-athletes.

The Saints’ next meet is Feb. 1 at the Bronco Invitational in Nampa, Idaho.


Match Burnham of Carroll College was selected the Frontier Conference’s Men’s Basketball Player of the Week.

It’s the fourth POTW award Burnham has earned this season. Three Saints have won the award.

Burnham is a 6-foot-8 senior from Spangle, Wash. The third-ranked Saints won two road games over the weekend. No. 3 Carroll beat No. 10 Lewis-Clark State 84-78
and Montana Western 91-78.

For the weekend, Burnham averaged 27.5 points and 4.5 rebounds. He was 19 of 25 from the field including 6 of 9, 3-point field goals. Burnham was 11 of 13 from
the free throw line (85 percent).

Frontier Conference sports information directors nominate and vote on the award each week.

The Saints (16-2, 5-1) host Montana Tech (13-5, 3-3) on Tuesday in the PE Center at 7:30 p.m.
