WHITEFISH – Zaccheus Darko-Kelly continued his strong play for the University of Providence, netting his second consecutive Frontier Conference men's basketball player of the week. The league announced the award on Monday.

Darko-Kelly, who also earned the NAIA national honor last week, averaged 36.5 points, 8.0 rebounds, 5.0 assists and 1.5 blocks in two games for the No. 11 Argos this week. He had 36 points, five rebounds and five assists in a 96-87 loss at No. 5 Lewis-Clark State on Thursday and followed that up with 37 points, 11 rebounds and five assists in the Argos' 92-82 win at Montana Tech. All told, he was 26 of 41 from the field, including a 6-of-10 mark from 3-point range, and sank 15 of 17 free throws.

Darko-Kelly, a 6-foot-6 junior forward from Great Falls, has now scored 30 points or more in three of his past four games. He registered a triple-double in the lone game during that stretch he failed to score 30 points.

The Argos (21-5 overall, 9-5 Frontier Conference) are back in Great Falls this weekend, hosting Montana Western on Friday and Rocky Mountain College on Saturday.

Jamie Nielson of Lewis-Clark State was named the Frontier Conference’s women’s basketball player of the week.
