LA GRANDE, Ore. – Hayden Schrull of the University of Providence men's wrestling team has won the Cascade Collegiate Conference Red Lion's wrestler of the week award.

"I'm really happy for him," interim head coach Steve Komac said. "He's been working hard all season. This past month, especially, he's gone above and beyond for us."

Schrull, the 12th-ranked wrestler for the 184-pound weight class in the nation, pinned Carl Hanson of Montana State-Northern on Thursday to clinch the dual for the Argos.

"Hayden had a great match," Komac said. "There was a lot of action. Hayden continued to press the pace and push his opponent and eventually got a fall against a quality opponent."

This is the third player of the week award for the Argos this season. Shonn Robertsand Casey Dobson have also received the award.

Schrull and the ninth-ranked Argos will compete at the Cascade Collegiate Conference Tournament this weekend in Atheron, California.
