GREAT FALLS -- The University of Providence women's volleyball team advanced to the semifinals of the Frontier Conference Tournament by sweeping Montana State Northern 3-0 (25-17, 25-14, 25-18).

Adysen Burns led the Argos with 10 kills while also contributing 19 digs. Sacha Legros recorded 25 digs. NAIA National Setter of the Week Cydney Finberg-Roberts contributed 37 assists. Averi Dyer had five kills and 11 digs.

"I was pleased with how we came out today," head coach Arunas Duda said. "The energy was really good. Our girls were focused and ready to go. They executed the game plan really well. We were able to establish our middles early and then spread the ball around. I was really happy."

The Argos will face Rocky Mountain College tomorrow at 1 p.m. The Battlin' Bears, who swept Montana Western tonight, will want revenge after losing to the Argos in a five-set thriller on their senior night.

"I think we have prepared a good scouting report for Rocky," Duda said. "But I'm really pleased with the way that the girls have been playing lately. While we do want to implement our new scouting report and change a few things here and there, the overall effort and attitude is what I'm really happy about. I'm excited to keep going."

The Frontier Conference Tournament semifinals will begin at 11 a.m. when Montana Tech takes on Carroll College, who upset Lewis-Clark State in the first game of the tournament.

"It was a great opening match between Carroll and LC," Duda said. "It created some great energy in here. I think this tournament is going to come down to the wire. We're excited to be in Day 2 and be involved in that. I think you'll see some great volleyball on Saturday."
