HELENA -- In front of family, friends and teammates, Emily Feller signed her letter of intent to play volleyball for the MSU-Northern Skylights on Monday. The senior setter for the Helena High Bengals made the decision to play in Havre because of the opportunity it presented.

"The college just has everything that I want major-wise, and it's a small town, like the community is just always, the support is there," said Feller.

Given the fact that Northern is just a short trip away from Helena, and the Skylights' volleyball team regularly makes trips to play Carroll College in Helena, Montana Tech in Butte and the University of Providence in Great Falls, being able to see her family on a consistent basis made it an easy decision.

"Knowing that I'll be able to play close to home, in Helena, Butte or Great Falls a couple times also helped me," Feller said.

As for now, the Bengals' setter is readying for her final crosstown matchup against the top-ranked Helena Capital Bruins on Thursday, Oct. 19.
