HELENA -- In front of friends, family and his future coach, Helena Capital's Caleb Hoxie signed his letter of intent to play on the men's soccer team at Carroll College. Though Hoxie is excited to continue his soccer career, his priorities for the next year are in the classroom.

"It puts together my academic interests that I want to do. Carroll's got a good math and engineering program and that's what I want to do with my career," said Hoxie. "Soccer is just a bonus, like I want to keep playing, so it's just the best of both worlds -- live close to home, play soccer and pursue my career."

"He's a marvelous soccer player and a great student. That's a combination for success here at Carroll and with our program," said Saints head coach Doug Mello. "We were immediately drawn to him when he came to campus as a youngster and watching him play and develop."

The Carroll College men's soccer team finished its sixth season at 7-9 on Nov. 2.
