Carroll College's Jovan Sljivancanin nabs Frontier Conference honor

HELENA -- Jovan Sljivancanin of Carroll College was selected the Frontier Conference's Men's Basketball Player of the Week.

Sljivancanin is a 6-foot-5 sophomore from Belgrade, Serbia.

Carroll went 1-1 for the week. The Saints lost to No. 22 Westmont (Calif.) 73-69 on the road and defeated No. 24 (NCAA Division III) Whitworth 79-61.

For the week, Sljivancanin averaged 19.5 points, 13 rebounds and 2.5 assists. He was 17 of 36 from the field, including 3 of 7 from 3-point range and 2 of 3 on free throws.

It's the second time this season Sljivancanin has won the award.

Carroll College (4-2) overall plays Montana Tech (4-3) in a Frontier Conference game on Tuesday. Tipoff is scheduled for 7:30 p.m. at the Carroll College PE Center.
