DICKINSON, N.D. -- The Dickinson State football program added more Montana talent to its roster, coach Pete Stanton announced Tuesday.

Stanton and the Blue Hawks previously announced the signings of 28 student-athletes, including 13 Montanans. This second wave of signings, which includes four Montanans, adds 13 players to the class.

"We are very excited to have these outstanding players and students join our program," Stanton said in a media release. "Our coaching staff has worked tirelessly to identify players from our region and beyond and were able to develop a strong rapport with them. Our first goal in recruiting is to recruit good people to our program. This is followed by having outstanding students that not only have great ability but play hard and do the right things on and off the field."

Stanton, a Baker native in his seventh season leading the Blue Hawks, announced the additions of Jaxson Franklin, Riley Waters and Tate Wieferich of Sidney and JaQuawhann Booth of Billings Central on Tuesday. Franklin, Waters and Wieferich further strengthen an already strong pipeline between Sidney and DSU.

"We feel we have signed a group of players that will meet these goals and will be key members our program in the future," said Stanton. "We welcome them to our family and can't wait to have them in our program in August."

Dickinson State completed the fall season with a 9-0 record, winning the North Star Athletic Association conference championship for the sixth consecutive year. The NAIA national playoffs are scheduled to begin on April 17.
