BOZEMAN — The Montana State women’s basketball program announced that three players will not be returning to the team. Freshmen Brynley Fitzgerald, Kamden Hilborn and Halle Wright are all leaving to explore other opportunities, head coach Tricia Binford said on Friday afternoon.

Fitzgerald, who saw action in in 14 games, has announced her intention to transfer to 2019 NAIA National Champion Montana Western in her hometown of Dillon.

Hilborn, a Helena native who played in 25 games, is already pole-vaulting for the Bobcat track and field program. Hilborn was the 2018 Montana Class AA state champion in the event.

Wright, who played in 27 games, including 24 starts, indicated she will be moving back to Oregon to be closer to family. The Aumsville, Ore., product averaged 5.3 points and 4.2 rebounds per game.

“We thank all three for their efforts this season and wish them nothing but the best in their future endeavors,” Binford said.
