HIGHLIGHTS: Night 1 of the MSU Spring Rodeo

BOZEMAN — Night 1 of the MSU Spring Rodeo kicked off in Brick Breeden Fieldhouse on Thursday night.

Montana State had a few leaders after Day 1, including Shawn Perkins in bareback with a score of 74 points, Samantha Kerns in goat tying with 7.7 seconds, and Madison Brenner won breakaway roping in 3.9 seconds.

Montana Western also racked up some points thanks to team roping header Treygan Olson, who had the best time Thursday with 7.6 seconds.

Day 2 of competition begins Friday at 7 p.m.
