BOZEMAN – A day after Connor Wood and Isaiah Ifanse earned freshman all-American recognition from Hero Sports, Troy Andersen and Lewis Kidd garnered sophomore honors.

Andersen, Montana State’s first-team all-Big Sky Conference quarterback, added first-team sophomore all-America honors from Hero Sports on Tuesday. In addition, Andersen was named a third-team all-American as an all-purpose player by STATS FCS. Andersen rushed for 1,412 yards and an MSU single-season record 21 touchdowns this past season, while also throwing for 1,195 yards.

Andersen is the first Bobcat since JP Flynn in 2016 to earn all-America honors.

Kidd, who started all 13 games at offensive guard, earned sophomore all-America honorable mention recognition from Hero Sports. The Bobcats’ offensive line ranked in the top 20 in the nation in most rushing yards and fewest sacks allowed.
