BOZEMAN – Montana State linebacker Koni Dole is off the Bobcats’ roster.
The junior Dole had his right leg amputated just below the knee after complications following a compound fracture Dole suffered as a high school junior in 2012. Dole inspired people across the country with his return to the high school wrestling mats and football fields while at Huntley Project.
Dole joined the Montana Stat football program in 2014 and saw his first game action in 2015.
The reason for his departure has yet to be released. However, the mood inside the Bobcats’ camp is that if Dole wants to return to the team he can.
