MISSOULA – While the Montana football program is taking a small break before summer camp starts, many of the old players and fans headed out to The Ranch Club Thursday for a fundraiser, the Brosovich Montana football celebrity gala and auction.
This year’s event was luau-themed with a pig roast and live music followed by a silent auction with some Griz memorabilia. The event continues Friday morning with a sold-out golf tournament.
All the event proceeds go directly to the Grizzly football Quarterback Club. Head coach Bobby Hauck and safeties coach Shann Schillinger said the event is a great way to support the team and enjoy the summertime.
“It’s great to be out here at The Ranch Club. It’s beautiful and it’s kind of fun, everyone watching them take the pigs out of the ground. And it’s just a good time, it’s fun to get together with folks. It’s kind of that time of year when you’re supposed to be outside enjoying things,” said Hauck.
“It provides our players an opportunity to take summer classes and a lot of it goes right into Grizzly football, so it’s great to spend time with our fans, let them how much we appreciate them and our former players — just get out here and have a good time,” Schillinger said.
