NASHVILLE, Tenn. – One of the newest Montana Grizzlies to get a shot in the NFL is already looking for a new team. The Tennessee Titans cut cornerback Ryan McKinley after rookie mini-camp this past weekend.
McKinley went undrafted and signed with the Titans as a free agent shortly after the draft ended last month. He was in a group of five players that didn’t make the cut in Tennessee after mini-camp.
McKinley emerged as a shut-down corner for the Grizzlies as a senior. The Arizona native led the Big Sky Conference in pass deflections last season. He told MTN Sports that he picked Tennessee over other teams including the Arizona Cardinals because he felt confident he could make the Titans roster.
None of the 2018 graduating class of Grizzlies currently have a job in the NFL. Safety Justin Strong received invitations to rookie mini-camp with the New York Jets and New Orleans Saints, but he has not signed a contract.
