OGDEN, Utah — Seven Montana Grizzly and Montana State Bobcat football games will be available to fans on ROOT Sports this fall, with the annual Cat-Griz clash the finale of the regular season.

Each team will be part of four of the 10 broadcasts throughout the regular season. Montana opens ROOT’s conference schedule on Sept. 22 at home against Sacramento State. Bobby Hauck’s Grizzlies will also be featured in a Nov. 3 bout at Southern Utah, then again the following week at Idaho, which returns to the Big Sky Conference.

Jeff Choate and the Bobcats host Eastern Washington on Sept. 29, then welcome the Vandals of Idaho on Oct. 13. MSU travels to Weber State the following week, Oct. 20, before rounding out the broadcast schedule on Nov. 17 in Missoula.

Eastern Washington will also have four games broadcast live on ROOT this season, including games against Southern Utah, Idaho and Portland State. Only three of the 10 games do not feature one of the Montana programs — Southern Utah at EWU on Oct. 6, Idaho at Eastern Washington on Oct. 27 and Eastern Washington at Portland State on a date yet to be determined.

Kickoff times for each contest, as well as the broadcast details, will be released at a later date.

“The Big Sky’s partnership with ROOT Sports and DIRECTV has continued to increase our brand and exposure on a national level,” said Big Sky Conference commissioner Andrea Williams. “ROOT Sports produces award-winning broadcasts, and the conference is excited to be a part of that every week.”
