BELGRADE – Carlie Smith, a forward on the Belgrade soccer team, signed her letter of intent to play for Montana next season. She penned in front of friends and family, some of whom were standing strong but smiling in protest as Cats fans. The best part? She committed to college on her birthday.

“I went to a soccer camp there when I was 12 and ever since that camp it’s been my goal to go there,” said Smith. “My who family are huge Cat fans so it’s kind of been a fight.”

Smith is currently battling an injury, but will be ready for the upcoming season.
