BILLINGS — One of Montana’s top basketball talents announced her college choice on Saturday.
Billings Senior standout Kola Bad Bear committed to play for Tricia Binford and Montana State, making the announcement on her Twitter account.

Bad Bear drew interest from both Montana and Montana State, as well as other college arounds the region. The 6-foot-2 junior currently leads Class AA in scoring this season at 18.3 points per game. Her 74 made field goals and 49 made free throws also lead Class AA. She ranks fourth in rebounding, grabbing 8.2 boards per game.
Bad Bear also leads the Broncs in field goal percentage (47.1), free throw percentage (80.3) and blocks (1.7 per game) and is tied for second on the team in steals (0.9 per game). Stats are through the Broncs’ first 11 games. They defeated Great Falls CMR 54-41 on Friday for their ninth consecutive win.
Bad Bear had 21 points against the Rustlers and has led the team in scoring in all but one game this season.
Senior (11-1 overall, 6-0 Eastern AA) hosts Great Falls High on Saturday.
