BOZEMAN – The Montana State men’s basketball team narrowly fell to Northern Arizona 77-75 at home on Thursday night. After starting Big Sky Conference play off 4-0, the Cats have dropped their past four games, pushing them to .500 in conference play.

Bobcat star Tyler Hall struggled on Thursday, scoring only seven points, his lowest in as many games, while shooting 20 percent from the field. Devonte Klines led the way for the Cats with 15 points.

Earlier in the week, Montana State preached interior defense against NAU after being burned by the Montana Grizzlies, who scored 40 points in the paint. The Cats held strong inside, but lost control of the perimeter, allowing Torry Johnson and Gino Littles to go a combined seven of 10 from 3-point range.

The win marks the first in the Big Sky for the Lumberjacks.
