FORT WORTH, Texas — Montana will be represented in the semifinal round of the Fort Worth Stock Show & Rodeo this year.
2019 world tie-down roping champion Haven Meged leads a Treasure State contingent, qualifying first after two runs. The Miles City native earned $3,080 to lead the second set of riders. Circle cowgirl Lisa Lockhart was also first in the second set after earning $3,520 in two barrel racing runs.
Bozeman header Kal Fuller and team roping partner Reagan Ward won Round 2 Sunday, vaulting them into second overall to qualify for the semifinals. Former Great Falls saddle bronc world champion Jesse Kruse is also heading to the semis as a wild card.
The third set of 56 rodeo athletes compete Monday and Tuesday nights at 7:30 p.m. at Dickies Arena.
