BILLINGS — Billings native Jerry Pearsall fired a 6-under 66 in the final round of the 2026 State Seniors golf tournament at Lake Hills Golf Course to pull away for a four-shot victory.

Pearsall, who was inducted into the MSGA Hall of Fame earlier this week, entered the final round tied with Missoula's Bill Dunn after the two played their opening rounds at Eaglerock Golf Course and The Briarwood.
Dunn and Pearsall traded blows back and forth throughout the final round, but Pearsall delivered a haymaker on the par-5 13th. After Dunn found a lateral hazard and eventually made par, Pearsall buried a 50-foot putt for birdie to take a one-shot lead.
Pearsall then made par on the par-3 14th to grab another stroke over Dunn, then put the nail in the coffin with a birdie on the par-4 16th.
"What I think really broke it open is I made a totally unexpected long putt on 13, the par 5," Pearsall said. "It's one of those that's almost embarrassing to make, but it went in and gave me a one-shot lead, then I played pretty solid coming in."
Pearsall will compete in the Men's Mid-Am and Master 40 Am later this month at Polson Bay Golf Course.
