Rapid reaction: Montana State blows out Albany 47-21

BOZEMAN — After allowing an opening drive touchdown, the Montana State Bobcats rallied back for 26 unanswered points to take a 26-7 halftime lead.

Senior Travis Jonsen and Kevin Kassis found the end zone in the first quarter, and Isiah Ifanse added a late score in the second quarter.

Montana State didn't let off the gas pedal in the second half. Tucker Rovig would throw two touchdown passes to receiver Lance McCutcheon. Then in the fourth quarter Logan Jones would punch one in to make it a 47-7 Bobcats lead.

The Great Danes would add two fourth quarter touchdowns to gain a little pride back but Montana State cruised to a 47-21 win.

TURNING POINT: Montana State's first half rally of 26 unanswered points set the tone for the rest of the game.

STAT OF THE GAME: Tucker Rovig completing 24 of 30 passes for three touchdowns lead the Bobcats to another offensive clinic.

GAME BALLS: Tucker Rovig for the reasons above, but also the Bobcat secondary.Damien Washington intercepted Jeff Undercuffler twice today which led to scoring drives for the Bobcat offense.

WHAT'S NEXT: No. 5 Montana State (10-3) will await the winner of No. 4 Sacramento State and Austin Peay tonight. If Sac St. wins, MSU will hit the road for the quarterfinals. If the Hornets fall, the Bobcats will host Austin Peay at home next Saturday.
