BOZEMAN – Montana State added a third Pac-12 Conference opponent to its future football schedule, announcing Tuesday a trip to Oregon in 2025.

The Bobcats and Ducks will meet at Autzen Stadium on Aug. 30, marking MSU's second visit to Eugene. Oregon won the teams' other meeting 27-14 back on Sept. 20, 1947.

The Bobcats already have a trip to Utah scheduled for this fall. Assuming the 2020 season goes on as planned, Montana State will visit the Utes on Sept. 12 after opening its season against Long Island in the annual Gold Rush game at Bobcat Stadium on Sept. 5. The Bobcats close out the non-conference portion of their 2020 schedule with a home game against Dixie State on Sept. 19.

Montana State also has a trip scheduled to Oregon State in 2022, as well as future games with Wyoming, Morehead State and Dixie State.

The Bobcats are coming off an 11-4 season that saw them reach the semifinal round of the FCS playoffs, where they lost to eventual champion North Dakota State 42-14 at Fargo.

Oregon went 12-2 last year, including a 35-3 win over Montana, a 37-15 win over Utah in the Pac-12 championship game, and a 28-27 win over Wisconsin in the Rose Bowl. Former Ducks quarterback Justin Herbert, the older brother of former Bobcat Mitchell Herbert, was selected sixth in the 2020 NFL Draft by the San Diego Chargers.

MSU’s scheduled future non-conference opponents:

2021 – at Wyoming
2022 – Morehead State, at Oregon State
2023 – Dixie State
2024 – at Dixie State
2025 – at Oregon
