Montana State Bobcats facing tough FCS test in Sacramento State

BOZEMAN -- Montana State football is back in Bozeman this week for its Homecoming, and the Bobcats are bringing in what Jeff Choate believes is possibly their toughest test to date, Sacramento State.

The Hornets have climbed slowly up the rankings from being nonexistent on the national radar in the preseason to just a single point outside the FCS Top 25 in Monday's poll. Even though the Cats have defeated ranked Southeast Missouri, Choate knows Sacramento State is as good as they come.

"You can pretty much look at the stat sheet and know who a team is. They are No. 1 in the conference in total defense and as well as scoring defense. They are No. 2 in the conference in total offense and scoring offense," Choate said. "I think this is the best team we have played, certainty the best FCS team that we have played. They are a complete team and I think this is one of the better teams in the country, I really believe that."

The Bobcats host Sacramento State in their Homecoming game Saturday at 2 p.m. in Bobcat Stadium.
