FARMINGTON, Utah – Montana State swept the Big Sky Conference's men's athlete of the week awards on Monday, Dec. 9, as the league announced it had selected Duncan Hamilton and Noah Martin as its first award winners of the indoor season. Hamilton was named the Track and Field Athlete of the Week while Martin was recognized as the Field Athlete of the Week.

Hamilton made his first indoor appearance for the Montana State men's team and put together a top-10 program mark in the mile at the Bobcat Preview on Dec. 6. He finished first in the race with a converted time of 4:06.66. That mark moved him to 10th all-time among Bobcats in the event, while it also placed him second in the nation early in the 2019-20 indoor season. The time is the fastest in the event on the Big Sky Conference performance list.

Martin placed first in the men's high jump at the Bobcat Preview on Dec. 6 in Worthington Arena. He completed a personal best as an MSU athlete in the event with his jump of 6-11.50. That height placed him seventh in the nation early in the season as well first on the Big Sky performance list. He also now sits alone at fourth all-time in program history in the event.

The Montana State track and field team returns to action in 2020. The Bobcats host the MSU Multis Meet in Bozeman from Jan. 6-7, then travel to Pocatello for the Stacy Dragila Invitational on Jan. 17.
