FARMINGTON, Utah -- After dominating the Southeast Missouri State offensive line, Montana State's Bryce Sterk shared Big Sky Conference defensive player of the week accolades with Devon King of UC Davis.

Sterk, the senior transfer from the University of Washington, recorded three sacks against SEMO in helping the Bobcats to a 38-17 win at Bobcat Stadium on Saturday. He registered six total tackles in the game, helping Montana State's defense limit the 12th-ranked Redhawks to just 245 yards and 12 first downs. Through two games, Sterk, a preseason all-conference and all-America selection, has four sacks. His two sacks per game rank second in the FCS and his two tackles-for-loss per game rank 15th. Both marks lead the Big Sky.

Sterk is coming off a 2018 season in which he received second-team all-conference recognition after finishing withg 8.5 sacks and 17 tackles-for-loss, which both ranked second in the league.

King, meanwhile, finished with seven tackles, an interception and a forced fumble in UC Davis' 38-35 win at San Diego. The sophomore helped secure the Aggies' win with a game-saving tackle and forced fumble at the goal line with two seconds left in the game.
